The Ghost of Gwendolyn Green
In 2011 I started brainstorming a children's book.
I have always been drawn to themes like the paranormal and fantasy.

This story is still one I would love to develop one day, about a girl named Gwen who finds herself tethered to an old mansion. She doesn't remember her death, but she remembers every family that has come and gone since realizing the house was haunted.

Think Tangled meets Casper.

Gwen & Pumpkin
I really enjoyed the idea of Gwendolyn befriending an orange cat.

Funnily enough, we now own a orange cat named Pumpkin.

Yes, that will indeed be his name.

Cora's Quest
Cora's Quest was an idea that I developed in college during my Character Development class. The idea was to come up with classic archetypes like a hero, villain, side kick and comic relief.

I wanted to take a different spin on the idea of a "hero" and make a character typically seen as a villain-- a hero. So I wanted to develop an orc character that embodied a typical hero's journey.

I was inspired by the idea of Shrek, an ogre that everyone was scared of going on a mission to save a princess.

Cora learns about a folk tale from a shaman in her tribe, in it the moon curses a princess, turning her into a night lily, for falling in love with the sun. Cora is determined to find the night lily and break the curse. She believes that this will show her tribe that she is capable warrior, even if she's a girl.
